Key Responsibilities
- The identification, anticipation and evaluation of hazardous conditions and practices.
- Develop hazardous control designs, methods, procedures and programs.
- Implement, administer and advise others on hazard control programs.
- Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control programs.
- Draft a future safety plan and statement based on real-time experiences and facts.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
Education, Experience, and Qualities
- Advanced degree in industrial engineering and HSSE-related subjects.
- Sound knowledge of HSSE relevant international, national and site-specific regulations/legislation.
- Fundamental knowledge of physics, chemistry, engineering mechanics, and industrial processes.
- Sound integrated knowledge of occupational health, safety and security issues in engineering and construction.
- Extensive experience in oil and/or petrochemical industry.
- The function holder must be personally pleasant, intelligent, and ruthless with themself and the organization.
