Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that standardized quality plans are developed for the projects.
- Review, approve and monitor QA/QC plan of contractors and major vendors.
- Ensure that the engineering and construction contractors fully comply with the statutory codes of practice and project specifications/requirements throughout the design work.
- Ensure that liaisons with authorities are conducted well ahead of time and required inspection at the right time is specified.
- Ensure material control during fabrication in fabrication shops and that the positive material identification is strictly followed and properly documented.
- Ensure vendors testing and inspection data is properly recorded to achieve final certification.
- Review the vendor shipping and handling procedure so that the quality of the shipped item is not compromised in any manner during shipping and handling.
- Ensure equipment and material is checked at the point of receipt and early notification is provided for any damage or wrong shipment to permit rapid turnaround for repair or replacement.
- Ensure that engineering and construction contractor maintains an organized and detailed control system such as document numbering, documentation flow, vendor documentation, drawing registers and design changes.
- Ensure the completion of QA audit on sites.
- Ensure QC activities of engineering and construction contractors are carried out during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Assist in obtaining authorities certifications.
Education, Experience, and Qualities
- Technical/natural scientific education.
- Extended experience in a relevant professional position.
- Sound knowledge in legal requirement, company standards and guidelines respect to QA/QC
