Key Responsibilities
- Support decision-making with accurate financial information.
- Analyse and prepare planned/actual/forecasted Commitment/VOWD/Invoiced/Paid reports.
- Reconcile actual Commitments/VOWD/Payments with SAP.
- Compare timely and accurate actual costs against the control budget.
- Analyse and prepare man-hour curves for external engineering services.
- Analyse and prepare man-hour curves for construction labour.
- Analyse and prepare man-hour curves for internal engineering services.
- Analyse and prepare quantity trending reports.
- Analyse and prepare percentage complete reports for equipment.
- Analyse and reconcile Project Supply Plan (PSP) with Project Cost Plan.
- Manage forecast at completion reporting to the Project Manager.
- Manage Change Order process from a financial point of view; control changes.
- Analyse and prepare financial Change Order status reports.
- Support decision-making with accurate Cost Controlling information.
- Assure “early warning” of problems and identify possible corrective actions from a financial point of view.
- Prepare financial benchmark reports if required.
- Analyse and prepare Project Procure to Pay (P2P) process reports if required.
- Prepare ad hoc reports if required.
- Analyse Project Outcome concerning Project Cost Controlling.
- Evaluate Project’s Lessons Learned concerning Project Cost Controlling.
- Communicate project progress and other issues to project manager and asset development manager.
- Planning and forecasting duties – continuous monthly rolling forecast for project, cost, time and scope.
- Documentation of the projects concerning approvals, release, planned and actual value.
- Support the project manager to secure resource requirements.
- Assisting in development and training of the relevant staff in project controls topics.
Education, Experience, and Qualities
- Extensive work experience in construction projects in refinery or petrochemical area.
- Sound knowledge in methods of risk identification and mitigation.
- Sound knowledge of engineering design.
- Sound experience with respect of international/company guidelines, tax and applicable law.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to think economically.
- Ability to transfer knowledge.
