Key Responsibilities
- Track and validate quantities of materials installed in the field (i.e., m³ concrete, m³ reinforced concrete, m² paving, tons of structural steel, piping factors, m² painting, m² insulation, m cables and trays, etc.) on the basis of schedule and MTOs/bill of materials.
- Monitor and assure proper measurement of physical progress in the field.
- Validate progress reporting of engineering contractors and construction contractors.
- Obtain and summarize comments from project team members (e.g., discipline engineers).
- Perform gap analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Preparation of reports, presentations etc.
- Analyse outcomes and write detail progress reports.
- Assure proper input to technical and commercial invoice verification.
- Providing advice and forecast about costs.
- Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Keep tracking of any variations to the contract that may affect costs.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
Education, Experience, and Qualities
- Technical Education (preferably mechanical or civil engineering).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant job experience.
- Practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking.
- Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
- Detail knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters
